The Ministry of Education and Ministry of Information are work closely with Book-Link to ensure efficient distribution of books. In Ethiopia, a Survey is set up every year in a different Region, under the supervision of VSO, to determine the suitability and the use made of the Book-Link text books. In 2003/2004 ten selected schools in Gondar have each received an average of 400 school books. The result of this Survey gave the Academic Committee of Book-Link invaluable information about the needs of children and teachers and will avoid just "dumping" books that will not be used.
